Nicolas Reyes
Becoming a King
The Gipsy Kings have brought the house down multiple times at the Filene Center with their vibrant and explosive music. Legendary lead vocalist Nicolas Reyes’ debut memoir is scheduled to be released on October 23. In Becoming a King, Reyes details his journey from the gritty life of a gypsy to international stardom.
JD McPherson
Socks: A Kid’s Christmas Lament
JD McPherson joins Robert Plant and Alison Krauss on their Can’t Let Go Tour 2024, and this fall he will release his first children’s book. Based on the children’s song “Socks” and illustrated by Anika Orrock, the hilarious and heartwarming picture book tells the tale of a child opening a stereotypically bad gift on Christmas morning. The perfect gift for children this holiday season, Socks will be released on September 10 and includes a QR code to the “Socks” song.
Melissa Etheridge
Talking to My Angels
Rock icons Melissa Etheridge and the Indigo Girls both return to Wolf Trap this summer! Last September, Etheridge released her New York Times bestselling memoir Talking to My Angels, in which she recounts her triumphs and tragedies. The memoir is about finding the strength to carry on through trials and the power of art in healing. The book serves as a love letter to her family and fans.
Catch Melissa Etheridge and the Indigo Girls for two nights of heartland rock and folk fusion on August 24 and 25 at the Filene Center.
