Calling all music lovers! You’re cordially invited to the most intimate live music experience of the fall and spring. Immerse yourself in musical artistry from around the world in two 18^th-century barns at The Barns at Wolf Trap. Explore the invitation below for tips to make the most of your concert experience.

What: Welcome to The Barns 

The Barns is Wolf Trap’s historic indoor venue. The Scottish Barn offers pre-show dining and drinks, and the German Barn houses an array of spectacular live performances. Here, you’ll find top-tier performers and a wide variety of shows, including popular music, comedy, chamber music, dance, and more.

Where: Directions & Parking

The Barns is located at 1635 Trap Road, Vienna, VA 22182, just under a mile from the Filene Center. 

Before heading to The Barns, check out the different route options or view the map above. If traveling on Dulles Toll Road (Route 267), note this path requires drivers to pay a toll. As always, plan extra time for traffic, construction-related delays, and parking. 

Parking is free, and accessible parking is close to the building. 

When: Preparing for Your Show

The Barns season runs from October 2024 to April 2025. Find the date and time of your show by logging into MyTickets. Pre-save digital tickets to your phone before arrival to make check-in a breeze.  

To pick up tickets, Will Call is located to the right of The Barns’ front doors. Be sure to have your photo ID and confirmation number ready.  

At the front doors, present your ticket to the usher to scan. In no time, you’ll be on your way to enjoying your show.  

The Eats: Dinner & Drink Options 

Transform your show into a special occasion with dinner and drinks! 

The Scottish Barn opens 90 minutes before showtime. Each show day, Wolf Trap’s Food & Beverage team freshly prepares all The Barns’ appetizers, main courses, and desserts on site. Choose from items such as the Smash Burger, Margherita Flatbread, or Mediterranean Bowl, and pair it with one of The Barns’ featured cocktails, locally sourced beers, wines by the glass or bottle, or non-alcoholic options. Place your order by going up to the bar or scanning the QR code at your table. Your food and beverages will be delivered to you! 

If you’re still sipping your drink by showtime, not to worry, you can bring your drink to your seat. Be sure to ask a bartender about pre-ordering beverages for intermission. 

The Atmosphere: Seating & More 

When the lights dim, it’s time to settle in the German Barn for the main event. 

Don’t forget to pick up your party favor, a Timbre program book, from an usher. A play off the “timbre” of vocals and instruments and the venue’s “timber” walls, The Barns’ program book is filled with information about your performance and what’s happening at Wolf Trap. 

The Barns offers both seated and general admission shows—be sure to check your ticket to confirm which type of show you’re attending. General admission shows are standing room only to accommodate a lively audience and dancing! For seated concerts, seats are located on the floor (orchestra) and in the hayloft (balcony). View the seating chart or ask an usher for guidance. 

If you need to get up from your seat during the performance, respect the artist and other attendees by moving in between songs or acts.
