The National Park Service has been called America’s Best Idea — an idea, realized across more than 400 National Park sites, to preserve our places, spaces, and cultural heritage not just for a few, but for everyone. Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts is more than a concert venue: it’s a statement that we, as a nation, treasure the arts as much as we treasure our history, monuments, and vistas.

In this centennial year of the National Park Service, Wolf Trap honors the spirit and mission of our national parks. And as the only National Park for the Performing Arts, Wolf Trap has a special role to play, with a monumental season featuring many artists that define America’s artistic past, present, and future.

So — what are we doing to celebrate this Centennial birthday?! We’ve got a summer season full of exciting events to surprise our audiences and create lasting memories! See below for some of our favorite moments so far – and stay tuned for more fun moments as the season unfolds!

Face painters helped our fans get into character for the National Symphony Orchestra & DreamWorks! We can’t wait to bring these talented artists back for Classic Albums Live presents David Bowie and Disney in Concert!

Say hello to our new Chalkboard Wall! This is the perfect spot to leave a message to your favorite artist, share your Wolf Trap memories, or draw an awesome sketch. (It’s also a great spot for a selfie!)
